What it is

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) — a 44-amino acid peptide that stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and secrete growth hormone in a natural, pulsatile pattern.

Mechanism of action

Binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells, triggering endogenous GH release. Unlike direct GH administration, Tesamorelin preserves the natural feedback loop, producing physiologically appropriate GH pulses that stimulate IGF-1 production in the liver.

Research context

One of the few GHRH analogs with significant clinical trial data. Studies have demonstrated meaningful reductions in visceral adipose tissue, improvements in body composition, and favorable effects on lipid metabolism.

Reconstitution protocol

Draw 1–2 mL of bacteriostatic water into a clean syringe.

Insert needle through rubber stopper angled toward the glass wall.

Slowly push water down the side of the vial.

Swirl gently 30–60 seconds until fully dissolved. Solution should be clear.
